Controllability of SISO Volterra Models via Diffusive Representation

چکیده
The problem under consideration is the controllability of a wide class of convolution Volterra systems, namely the class of “diffusive” systems, for which there exists an input-output state realization whose state evolves in the so-called diffusive representation space. We first show that this universal state variable is approximately controllable, and then deduce that such Volterra systems always possess suitable controllability properties, stated and proved. Then, we show how to solve the optimal null control problem in an LQ sense. A numerical example finally highlights these results.

Time-local formulation and identification of implicit Volterra models by use of diffusive representation
We present a time-continuous identification method for nonlinear dynamic Volterra models of the form HX = f(u,X)+v with H a causal convolution operator. It is mainly based on a suitable parameterization of H deduced from the so-called diffusive representation, which is devoted to state representations of integral operators. Following this approach, the complex dynamic nature of H can be summari...
متن کاملIdentification of Time-Non Local Models under Diffusive Representation
In this paper, we show how the so-called diffusive representation can be used in order to identify nonlinear Volterra models of the form H(∂t)X = f(u,X)+ v. Several methods are described, all being based on a suitable parameterization of H(∂t) by means of its γsymbol. Following this idea, the complex dynamic nature of H(∂t) can be summarized by a few parameters on which the identification of th...
متن کاملOn the controllability and stabilizability of non-homogeneous multi-agent dynamical systems
In this paper we consider a supervisory control scheme for non-homogenous multi-agent systems. Each agent is modeled through an independent strictly proper SISO state space model, and the supervisory controller, representing the information exchange among the agents, is implemented in turn via a linear state-space model. Controllability and observability of the overall system are characterized,...

متن کاملNumerical Solution of Second Kind Volterra and Fredholm Integral Equations Based on a Direct Method Via Triangular Functions
A numerical method for solving linear integral equations of the second kind is formulated. Based on a special representation of vector forms of triangular functions and the related operational matrix of integration, the integral equation reduces to a linear system of algebraic equations. Generation of this system needs no integration, so all calculations can easily be implemented. Numerical res...
